Juggling is the ability to simultaneously manipulate several objects, a kind of focus based on the dexterity of both the hands and the entire human body. It is known since ancient times and is a very spectacular art. I think that not one person, looking at the juggling speaker, asks himself a question about how to learn to juggle.
I can say that the average person can easily learn the basics of this art, if he has enough patience and perseverance. In this article I will tell you how to learn how to juggle 3 balls, and in the future, if you wish, you can consider more complex aspects.
How to learn to juggle a ball
- First, you need to choose the right balls. Ideally, we need spherical weighted objects, for example, balls for tennis, filled with lead shot. But weighted plastic balls sold in any stores, which fit easily in the palm of your hand, will completely go away.Even golf balls or baseballs may be suitable. In the future I will just call them balls.
- Secondly, you need to learn how to stand. Stand up straight, head should be in a natural position, look ahead. Any inclination in the future will lead to errors and falling balls. The left leg is set slightly forward, half the width of the shoulders. Arms bent at the elbows, elbows are parallel to the floor, shoulders lowered.
- Well, and thirdly, consider the actual juggling. Take one ball into any palm and begin to transfer from one palm to another along an arcuate trajectory. At the same time, it is necessary to ensure that the throw comes at the expense of the brush, the ball seems to “fly out” from one palm and land on the other. Movement of the elbows should be minimal, shoulders immobile. At this stage, it is imperative to ensure that the ball constantly flies along the same path from the palm to the palm, the upper part of the arc should be at eye level. The look is directed forward, following the trajectory of the ball, but the head is motionless.
- When you are sure that the ball is flying along the desired trajectory, proceed to the next stage.Stand up in the same starting position, but this time there should be one ball in each palm. Now be careful! Throw a ball from one palm to another, as you have done before. When the ball passes the upper part of the trajectory and begins to decline to the second palm, you must throw the second ball, and its trajectory must pass slightly below the trajectory of the first so that the balls do not collide. Both balls must land on your palms. Repeat this exercise until you bring it to automatism.
The final exercise, which, in fact, is already juggling. Take two balls in your right hand, so that one lies in your palm, squeezed between your thumb and little finger, and the second hold above the rest of your fingers. The third ball is in the left palm. Now you start throwing the top ball from the right palm to the left, when the ball starts to fall, throw the ball under your left hand under it, freeing it for the first ball. When the ball thrown from the left hand comes to the right, in turn, throw the third ball under the second, thus completing the juggling cycle. You see, nothing complicated!
