Holding a concert of the popular German group Rammstein in Minsk was threatened by the reaction of the authorities and society. This is due to the "cruelty, perversion and violence" that is exploited in the videos and concerts of the group.
The main initiator of the ban on the performance of the Rammstein group in Belarus was the Public Council on Morals.
“The decision to take the Rammstein group to Minsk is a mistake that can cost us dearly,” the official text of the OCH statement says.
According to members of the council, “the group’s creativity is the blatant propaganda of homosexuality, masochism and other perversions, cruelty, violence and obscenity”.
Recall the German metal band Rammstein, formed in January 1994 in Berlin by Till Lindemann, Christoph Schneider, Richard Kruspe, Paul Landers and Christian Lorenz. The main features of the band's creativity: a specific rhythm, in which most of the compositions are sustained, and epic lyrics. Stage performances, often accompanied by the use of pyrotechnics, which gained recognition in the musical environment, brought particular fame to the band.
