First Deputy Prime Minister Igor Shuvalov believes that the optimal situation exists in Russia in order to buy housing.
A member of the government noted that the cost of the ruble is falling, while the cost of apartments so far remains at the same level. “There are enough offers on the market, and if people view housing not as an investment tool, but as an ability to satisfy their personal needs for improving living conditions, then probably now is the best time,” said Igor Shuvalov during a meeting with Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev .
On August 31, Dmitry Medvedev signed a decree approving the new version of the state’s housing program until 2020. In accordance with this document, within five years about 235 thousand Russian families should receive housing.
