What to replace the starch?

Starch in different dishes
- In different dishes, starch is replaced by different products. In the preparation of biscuits, if there is no starch on hand, you can do without it.
- When cooking a casserole, starch can replace a small amount of sifted flour, and if you cook jelly, you will have to go to the store, in this case there is no substitute for starch.
- Speaking of jelly - jelly (powder) can act as a starch in the preparation of various cakes, you can also use flour or add a jar of pudding to the dough (although it is also not so often at hand).
How to replace starch, if none of the method is not suitable? In this case, you can try to get starch from potatoes.
To do this, well-washed potatoes rubbed on a large grater, in a bowl of water. Starch will very quickly settle to the bottom (dense white precipitate). Everything else can be drained. Rinse the precipitate well several times. After that it is wrung out from water and dried on plates. Normal color is white, any shade indicates poor washing or drying too intensive.
