Moscow Mayor Yury Luzhkov signed a plan for the development of the capital until 2025. By the order of the Moscow Government, signed by Moscow Mayor Yury Luzhkov, 3 million 585 thousand rubles were additionally allocated for the publication of the General Plan from the budget reserve fund.
The master plan is basically a different scheme, occupying about 1.5 thousand pages. The documents will be published in the journal "Messenger of the Mayor and Government of Moscow". The document was adopted in the first reading by the Moscow City Duma in December 2009, in the final - on May 5, 2010.
While working on the General Plan, this document became the subject of numerous and heated discussions. In particular, the speaker of the Federation Council Sergey Mironov made a sharp criticism of him. Responding to criticism, the Moscow authorities recalled that the General Development Plan of Moscow was adopted by an absolute majority of the Moscow City Duma. A spokesman for the mayor of Moscow, Sergey Tsoi, speaking on this occasion, described the speech of Mironov as an attempt to insult the Moscow authorities, the Moscow City Duma deputies and as a disregard for the opinions of professionals and 170 thousand Muscovites.
